An oil painting of Oxford by David Welsh

Bridge of Sighs, Oxford

Bridge of Sighs, Oxford

Oil on Canvas : 18" x 14", 46cm x 36cm

Price,  including Frame,  £475

Built in 1913, the Bridge of Sighs is modelled on the bridge of the same name in Venice, but is architecturally unlike it. This Bridge links two parts of Hertford College. It faces the Radcliffe Camera and New College Lane passes under it. The stone architecture gives an air of age and solidity.
